  • Fly to Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu

  • From Kathmandu, take a short flight to Lukla (trail start)

  • Flights depend on weather, so stay flexible

    • Food: Simple Nepali and Tibetan meals—dal bhat, noodles, momos, soups. Tea and coffee are easy to find along the trail.

    • Accommodation: Small teahouses and lodges with shared bathrooms; hot showers at some stops for a small fee.

  • Moderate to Challenging – Long days at high altitude, but doable for reasonably fit trekkers.

  • Best: March–May, September–November

  • Sunny but windy days; cold nights, especially above 4,000 meters
